What is a trauma-informed TTRPG?
A trauma-informed tabletop roleplaying game (TTRPG) blends the creativity of games like Dungeons & Dragons with clinical trauma-focused care. Sessions are facilitated by a licensed clinician and use safety tools, collaborative storytelling, and clear group agreements to create a secure and supportive therapeutic environment.

How can TTRPGs help with trauma recovery?
Roleplaying games can help clients process emotions, build resilience, and practice new coping strategies within a structured, safe setting. In our clinical therapy groups, participants create characters, explore narrative arcs, and engage in group problem-solving — all designed to support trauma recovery and emotional growth.

Do you offer therapy groups that use D&D or other RPG systems?
Yes. We run clinical TTRPG groups using Dungeons & Dragons and other systems for youth and adults. Each group is led by a trauma-informed independently licensed clinician and integrates evidence-informed therapy approaches. Groups are 75 minutes and focus on safety, relational connection, and healing through play.

Do I need an intake before joining a group?
Yes. All of our therapy groups require an individual intake session before starting. The intake allows us to learn about your goals, history, and needs so we can place you in the group that will be the best fit.

Can you run a clinical TTRPG group for my organization?
Yes. We collaborate with schools, treatment programs, and community mental health agencies to offer clinical TTRPG therapy groups. These can be tailored to specific populations, age ranges, or treatment goals.

What if I have a client I want to refer?
We welcome referrals from other therapists. If you believe a client may benefit from our trauma-informed TTRPG therapy groups, you can direct them to schedule a consultation through our website. Please note that all groups are currently virtual and limited to Massachusetts residents.

Part 2: Consulting & Training

What is trauma-informed Game Master consultation?
Our Game Master (GM) consultation helps you create safe, inclusive, and emotionally supportive games. In these sessions, we’ll discuss safety tools, consent in roleplaying games, managing sensitive topics, and fostering trust between players. Consultations are tailored to your game style, player group, and goals, making them ideal for community leaders, educators, and clinicians who want to run trauma-informed TTRPGs.

Do you consult with therapists, educators, or community leaders?
Yes. We offer consultation for professionals who want to integrate roleplaying games into therapy, education, or community programs. This includes guidance on trauma-informed group facilitation, adapting game systems for specific populations, and designing inclusive play spaces.

Do you run workshops or training events?
While we have not yet hosted public workshops, we are more than happy to design and deliver custom workshops or trainings for your needs. Whether you’re a clinician, educator, or part of the gaming community, we can create a program tailored to your audience and setting.

How can consulting help my organization?
Our consultations help you blend the benefits of storytelling, teamwork, and creative play with trauma-informed principles. Whether your focus is clinical, educational, or community-based, we adapt our approach to align with your mission and population.

Can you help me start my own clinical TTRPG group?
Yes. We guide you through every step — from choosing a game system to structuring sessions, setting safety guidelines, and integrating therapeutic goals.

How do I request a consultation?
